Two years of U.N. negotiations to develop comprehensive international action on climate change after 2012 hit a brick wall in Copenhagen last December, with Heads of State managing to salvage a political agreement in the desperate final hours. December 8, 2009: OWIT – NY Chapter Holiday Party
The New York City Chapter of the Organization of Women in International Trade celebrated the holiday season with fellow colleagues in the trade community at the Investment & Trade Office of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States.

The evening included a brief introduction to the international charity work of Handcrafting Justice which is a Fair Trade, economic justice project that partners with women in developing countries. They market women’s handcrafts and raise awareness about the root causes of poverty, gender inequality and social issues.
